Birmingham, AL - Jim Willis' 24 yd. field goal in the second ovetime gave the Fightin' Christians a comeback victory over the Samford Bulldogs 34-31.

Down 24-10 in the fouth quater Elon staged another comeback to push the game into overtime. Brian Broadie's touchdown recpetion from Derrick Morre tied the game with 2:00 remaining. After both squads were unable to captilize the game move to overtime.

The Fightin' Christians Steven Ferguson plunged over the goaline to put Elon up 31-24 in the first overtime frame. Although SamFord returend the favor and extended the game to a second overtime. With the BUlldogs on offense first the Fightin' Christians defense stopped Samford at the 19 yard line and turned the ball over the the offense. Elon drove to the seven yard line and let Willis kick his 24 yard field goal to clinch the comeback.

Elon improves to 6-1 on the season.
