CHARLESTON, SC -- The Phoenix went in to the Bigh South Conference meet with high hopes. However, Elon finished seventh in the eight team field.

Winthrop took the championship with a total time of 2:10:54:00 in the 8K. They were followed by UNC-Asheville (2:14:01:00), Coastal Carolina (2:15:09:00), Liberty (2:16:00:00), High Point (2:19:27:00), Radford (2:19:44:00), Elon (2:20:23:00) and Charleston Southern (2:23:01:00).

Senior Kent Morris (27:27:00) paced the Phoenix with a 19th place individual finish while David Weaver (27:38:00) finished 22nd. Elon's Brian Zent finished 24th with a time of 27:51:00.
