ELON, NC -- Elon University cancelled its spring football scrimmage Thursday morning due to rain. It was scheduled for 8 p.m. Thursday at Rhodes Stadium.

The Phoenix will now leave for Spring Break and return for its next practice at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 2. Elon also has practice sessions scheduled for Friday, April 5, Saturday, April 6, Monday, April 8, Wednesday, April 10 and Friday April 12 leading up to the 2002 Phoenix Spring Game on Saturday, April 13.

Weekday practices are generally scheduled for 4-6 p.m. while Saturday practices are generally slated for 9:30 a.m.-noon. Practices take place on Hunt Field, the Phoenix practice facility located adjacent to Rhodes Stadium.

Future scrimmages are TBA. All practices are open to the public. The April 13 Spring Game occurs at 2 p.m. at Rhodes Stadium.
