NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Southern Conference Sports Media Association named Elon seniors Courtney Nyborg (Apex, N.C./Southeast Raleigh) and Holly Andrews (Hudson, N.C./South Caldwell) to its 2003-04 Second Team All-Conference in women's basketball Tuesday afternoon.
Nyborg is currently scoring 12.2 points, pulling down 7.1 rebounds and leads the league with 69 blocked shots (2.6 bpg). In league games she has averaged 12.7 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.7 blocks.
Andrews averaged 18.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists over 16 games this season. In nine Southern Conference contests, she averaged 19.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists. Andrews, a two-time Southern Conference Player of the Month, was leading the league in scoring before she fell to an ACL injury in early February.
Both Andrews and Nyborg were also named to the All-Conference Team as voted on by the league's coaches on Monday afternoon.
