Senior Matt Wescoe was named to the SoCon All-Tournament team last season after scoring the opening goal in the Phoenix's 2-1 win in the league's championship match over Wofford.

Our next player in the player profile series is senior midfielder Matt Wescoe. The Willow Springs, N.C., native is the squad's returning leader in points after tallying six goals and a team-best seven assists in 2012 and earned Second Team All-Southern Conference accolades. Wescoe also performed at a high level in the classroom and garnered SoCon All-Academic and honors and a spot on the  Capital One Academic All-District 3 First Team.
