ELON, N.C. – Having reached the midway point of the season, the Elon football team will return home to Rhodes Stadium for a Homecoming contest with the Stony Brook Seawolves on Saturday, Oct. 18. Game time is set for 1:30 p.m.

Fans unable to attend the game can listen to the game on WPCM 95.1 FM and 920 AM or at elonphoenix.com. The radio broadcast will start at 12:30 p.m. Fans can also listen to all Elon football games via the TuneIn Radio app. This app is free to download to your smartphone. The WSOE tailgate show can be heard on 89.3 FM beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Phoenix All-Access, Elon's video portal, will also show the game for free.

CONNECTIONS:
• Stony Brook's roster does not include any players from the state of North Carolina.
• Elon's roster sports three New Yorkers – Nick Groll (Armonk), O'Shane Morris (Bronx) and Michael Crispi (Dix Hills).
• Elon offensive coordinator Damian Wroblewski spent the 2006 season on the staff at Stony Brook. He was also on the 2010 Delaware staff with Stony Brook defensive coordinator Lyle Hemphill and on the Hofstra staff with Stony Brook linebackers coach Bobby McIntyre from 2004-05.

A NEW HOME:
After spending the past 11 seasons as a member of the Southern Conference, Elon has joined the Colonial Athletic Association and CAA Football. The Phoenix officially transitioned to CAA Football on July 1, 2014.

The CAA geographic footprint provides an attractive match with Elon's student and alumni populations. Elon draws a large proportion of its enrollment from mid-Atlantic and New England states where many CAA teams are located. About 1,850 current students came to Elon from areas close to CAA member schools. Alumni populations in CAA cities are equally strong, with about 5,300 Elon alumni living within 50 miles of CAA member schools.

ELON VS. STONY BROOK:
• Elon and Stony Brook have met twice before as the Phoenix and Seawolves played non-league games in 2007 and 2008.
• Elon is 2-0 in the series. The Phoenix won 38-23 on Nov. 17, 2007 in Elon and 30-20 on Sept. 6, 2008 at Stony Brook.

PLAY ON
In Elon's victory over Charlotte, the Phoenix ran a total of 97 offensive plays. Over its first two games, Elon had run 144 total plays, an average of 72 plays per game.

The Phoenix also topped 90 offensive plays against Delaware. In that game, the maroon and gold ran 92 plays. On the year, Elon has run 480 total plays, an average of 80.0 plays per game.

ON HOMECOMING
Elon has played 13 Homecoming games inside of Rhodes Stadium. The Phoenix has gone 6-7 in those contests.

ROOKIE BREAKTHROUGH
True freshman Tre Lennon had a memorable game at Delaware. Lennon hauled in seven balls for 95 yards and scored the first two touchdowns of his career against the Blue Hens. His scoring catches were for 10 and 35 yards. Lennon's 95 receiving yards were the most by an Elon rookie (freshman or red-shirt freshman) in a game since A.J. Harris had 106 yards in a 2008 victory over Samford.

FIRST SCORES
Against Delaware, the Phoenix's three touchdowns were scored by two players who were able to find the end zone for the first time in their careers. Elon's first score was a five-yard pass to sophomore Justin Osborne while the final two were passes of 10 and 35 yards to true freshman Tre Lennon.
