ELON, N.C. – Elon University head men's tennis coach
Michael Leonard announced the signing of Nick Condos (Wilton, Conn.) for the 2019-20 season on Thursday, Nov. 15.
"We are excited about Nick [Condos] joining our team next fall," said Leonard. "He has a tremendous amount of potential and we are looking forward to his development throughout his career as a Phoenix."
Condos has experienced a lot of success at the junior tennis level, including being ranked No. 1 among the New England Boys 18s. Also, he is currently ranked No. 1 in the state of Connecticut and No. 93 in the nation for his senior class. Additionally, Condos earned the Silver Ball at National Indoors in 2017 for Boys 18s group, was the New England Winter Sectionals Champion from 2016-18, and collected the Todd Morsilli Sportsmanship Award at the 2017 Indoor Nationals.
The Wilton, Conn. native, attended high school at both Wilton High School and Laurel Springs online school for two years as a sophomore and junior. While playing tennis at Wilton High School under head coach Chris Damone, he earned All-FCIAC honors and was an All-State selection his freshman year.
