ELON, N.C. – After a 3-1 win at N.C. Central to wrap up non-conference play on Wednesday, Elon University volleyball returns to Schar Center this Sunday, Oct. 20 for a 1 p.m. conference tilt against William & Mary.

SERIES HISTORY
-Elon and William & Mary are meeting for the first of two meetings this season and will play again on Oct. 30 in Williamsburg, Va.

-The Phoenix (10-11, 4-3 CAA) owns an 8-5 edge in the all-time series after earning a pair of 3-1 wins last season on Oct. 14 at W&M and Oct. 24 in Schar Center. Elon has claimed eight of the last nine meetings between the two sides.

-Kellyn Trowse led Elon in the first game last year with a team-high 15 kills and 11 digs, her first career double-double. Nori Thomas turned in 14 kills and Kam Terry added 12. Kodi Garcia finished with 34 assists and five service aces, and Isabella Seman served six. Maddie Jaudon recorded 20 digs, and Elizabeth Coil and Thomas combined for 11 blocks.

-In the second meeting, Terry scored 13 kills with and Trowse added 12. Trowse also had a pair of aces and 12 digs to go along with three blocks. Garcia reached 41 assists and Madi Genaway contributed nine kills, three aces, and 10 digs. Coil tallied nine kills and a team-high four blocks, while Jaudon finished with 20 digs.

SCOUTING THE TRIBE
The Tribe (6-12, 2-5) is currently seventh in the league standings and is coming off a straight-set win over Delaware last Monday, Oct. 14. A young team with six freshmen and five sophomores, W&M was picked to finish ninth in the CAA Preseason Poll.

Kate Dedrick leads the offense with 197 kills, Lauren Merrill follows with 163, and Julia Brown has 141. Autumn Brenner is the team's primary setter with 490 assists and has also served a team-high 20 aces. Defensively, Anna Porter has totaled 214 digs and Brown has made 79 total blocks, including 13 solo.

PHOENIX DEFEATS LADY EAGLES FOR 800TH PROGRAM WIN
The win at N.C. Central marked the 800th win in Elon volleyball history as the maroon and gold is now 800-769 (.510) all-time. Elon has now won 22 in a row versus the Lady Eagles and leads the all-time series 28-5.

Jenn Krzeminski posted a .647 hitting percentage and led the offense with a season-high 11 kills. The freshman from Furlong, Pa. added a dig and three blocks to her totals. Haylie Clark followed with 10 kills, 38 assists and three service aces, while Leah Daniel also scored 10 kills. Jordan Gower set a new season high with 24 digs.

ELON IN THE RANKINGS
Through matches played on Oct. 17, the Phoenix ranks fourth in the nation with 1,026 assists, fifth with 1,094 kills, sixth with 3,089 total attacks, and 20th with 1,232 digs. The team is also second in the CAA with 35.10 attacks per set and 160.0 total blocks.

Daniel is seventh in the country with 369.0 points, eighth with 331 total kills, and 16th with 834 total attacks. In the CAA, she ranks second with 9.81 attacks per set.

UP NEXT
The Phoenix is headed north next weekend with road matches at CAA opponents Hofstra and Northeastern. Elon plays the Pride at 7 p.m. this Thursday, Oct. 24 before a 4 p.m. meeting with the Huskies on Saturday, Oct. 26.
