Elon Hosts William & Mary Saturday for Homecoming

ELON, N.C. – Opening the month of November with Homecoming at Rhodes Stadium, Elon University football will welcome the William & Mary Tribe on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m. Fans can watch the game live on FloSports with Taylor Durham and Matt Krause on the call. Phoenix fans can also listen to the game over the airwaves on the TuneIn app.

SERIES HISTORY
-Elon and William & Mary are deadlocked at 2-2 in the all-time series, with each of the four meetings coming since Elon joined the CAA in 2014.
-The Phoenix has won each of the last two meetings, including a 2016 contest in which the Phoenix topped No. 8 William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va., by the score of 27-10.
-Last year's game against the Tribe in Williamsburg was canceled because of Hurricane Florence.

LAST TIME OUT
-Leading 7-6 at halftime, Elon's offense exploded in the second half with five-consecutive scoring drives on the way to a 38-13 victory over Rhode Island.
-Trailing 13-10 after Rhode Island's lone touchdown of the day, Elon rattled of four touchdown drives in a row to score the game's final 28 points.
-Greg Liggs, Jr. earned CAA Football Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts on the day. The senior intercepted three passes to set Elon's new Division I program record for career interceptions (14) and interceptions in a single season (7).

UP NEXT
-Set to host CAA Football programs at Rhodes Stadium two weeks in a row, Elon will close the regular-season home slate on Saturday, Nov. 9, with a 2 p.m. game against the Maine Black Bears.
