TOWSON, Md. – Elon University volleyball put up a fight late in the second set, but Towson outlasted the maroon and gold 26-24 en route to a 3-0 final on Friday night, Nov. 15 at SECU Arena.Â
Â
"We executed pretty well on our side for a good portion of the night," said head coachÂ
Mary Tendler. "As the match went further along, we lost some of the discipline we demonstrated earlier, which allowed Towson to score more easily. You can't do that against a very good team on their home court. With our regular season complete, we are excited to prepare for our first opponent in the CAA Tournament."
The match marked the regular season finale for the Phoenix, who finishes with a 13-17 record overall and a 7-9 mark in league play.
