ELON, N.C. – Set for the Lax Sports Network CAA Women's Game of the Week, Elon University will visit ninth-ranked James Madison on Friday, April 19, at 2:30 p.m. at Sentara Park in Harrisonburg, Va. The game time was changed to 2:30 p.m. from 5 p.m. due to projected inclement weather in the region.

SCOUTING JAMES MADISON
-Towson has struggled to a 2-9 mark thus far this year, but nine of its 11 games have come against nationally-ranked teams. 
-To open CAA play last weekend, the Tigers fell 11-7 on the road against No. 10 James Madison.
-Natalie Sulmonte leads the Tigers with 28 goals and five assists for 33 points to go with a team-best 34 draw controls. Kaitlin Thornton has 19 goals and a team-best 10 assists for 29 points. Olivia Conte and goalie Kiley Keating have picked up 29 ground balls and Sami Chenoweth has caused 45 turnovers. 

THE SERIES
-James Madison has won all five meetings to date between the two programs.
-The Dukes won last year's meeting 15-3 at Rudd Field after beating Elon in the 2017 CAA title game the year before after Elon defeated second-seeded Towson on its home field in the semifinals. 

LAST TIME OUT
-Holding on down the stretch against Delaware, Elon answered the Blue Hens tying the game three times to win 9-8 on Sunday at Rudd Field. 
-Peighton Stone scored the game-winning goal with 7:42 to play. The rookie had four points with a goal and three assists on the day. Paulina DiFatta also posted a season-high 16 saves in the cage.
-In the closing minutes, DiFatta saved a UD free position shot with 11 seconds to play to seal the victory.

PRESEASON ALL-CAA LISTS
-Elon was picked third in the CAA for the third consecutive season. The Phoenix has reached the CAA Tournament as the No. 3 seed in each of the last three seasons and has battled second-seeded Towson on all three occasions in the semifinals.
-Quinn Daly was picked as a Preseason All-CAA honorable mention in 2019 after earning CAA All-Rookie accolades after her first season in 2018.

CAA WEEKLY HONORS
-Mae McGlynn was named the CAA Player of the Week on Feb. 11 after her five-goal performance against Campbell in the season opener.
-Bella Feldman was tabbed CAA Rookie of the Week on Feb. 11 after scoring four goals at Campbell in her collegiate debut.
-Kaley Thompson picked up CAA Rookie of the Week on Feb. 26 after a week with four goals, five assists and 13 draw controls in Elon's two games. Against Winthrop, Thompson finished with four goals, four assists and eight draw controls. 
-Thompson earned a second CAA Rookie of the Week honor on April 8 after scoring six goals against Drexel in Elon's CAA opener. In all, she tallied seven goals and had nine draw controls during Elon's CAA opening weekend. 

ELON ON LAX SPORTS NETWORK
-This season, Elon is featured twice on Lax Sports Network during CAA play.
-The first occasion came last Friday, April 12, when Elon took on Towson in Maryland.
-Elon's second appearance on LSN will come this Friday, April 19, when it meets defending national champion James Madison at 5 p.m.
-The 2019 CAA Championships in Harrisonburg, Va., will also air on LSN.

UP NEXT
-Closing out the regular season next weekend, Elon will visit William & Mary on Friday, April 26, at 7 p.m. before coming home to take on Coastal Carolina on Sunday, April 28, at 1 p.m. Sunday's game at Rudd Field will mark Senior Day for Shannon Horan, Erin Morsheimer and Grace Simpson
