ELON, N.C. – Opening its CAA Football slate, No. 25 Elon University will hit the road for the first conference game of the 2019 season on Saturday, Sept. 14, for a 6 p.m. matchup against Richmond inside Robins Stadium. Fans can watch the game live on FloSports with Bob Black, Chris Anderson and Lane Casadonte on the call. Phoenix fans can also listen to the game on the TuneIn app with
Taylor Durham and Matt Krause calling the action.Â

SERIES HISTORY
-The Phoenix and Spiders have met nine times to date with Richmond holding a 7-2 lead.
-Though UR holds the series advantage, Elon has won each of the last two games in the series including a 38-28 victory in 2018 and a 36-33 win in 2017 over the sixth-ranked Spiders.
-A season ago,
Jaylan Thomas ran for 150 yards and scored two touchdowns in Elon's home victory over Richmond. The now-sophomore running back ran for 135 yards and two touchdowns last time out in Elon's win over The Citadel.Â

-Elon picked up its first win of the season with a 35-28 victory over The Citadel on Saturday at Rhodes Stadium.

Davis Cheek completed 14-of-23 passes for 226 yards and a touchdown while
Jaylan Thomas rushed for 135 yards on 20 carries with two scores.

Marcus Willoughby recorded a career-high 14 tackles and was named CAA Football and STATS FCS National Defensive Player of the Week.
Stephen Copeland also recorded a career-best 10 tackles and
