-Last time the two met, No. 9 Elon earned a 27-24 victory on the road in Harrisonburg, Va., last October over the second-ranked Dukes. On the day,
Davis Cheek threw for 286 yards and the game-winning touchdown in the closing minutes while
Malcolm Summers ran for 185 yards and a score. To secure the win,
Connor Christiansen intercepted Ben DiNucci with just seconds to play to close out the program's first-ever victory over a Top 5 team at the Division I level.
LAST TIME OUT
-Wake Forest quarterback Jamie Newman threw five touchdown passes as Wake Forest topped Elon 49-7 and raced to its first national ranking since 2008 at No. 24 in this week's poll.
