ELON, N.C. - Dropping from the national Top 25, Elon University football is receiving votes in both the STATS FCS and AFCA Coaches polls released Monday, Sept. 30. 

In the STATS FCS poll, Elon received 82 points and placed 31st in the nation while checking in with nine votes in the AFCA poll to place No. 34 nationally.

The CAA continues to pace the nation with six nationally-ranked teams with James Madison (No. 2), Villanova (No. 8) and Towson (No. 10) all inside the Top 10. Delaware follows at No. 18 with Maine at No. 22 and newcomer to the poll - Stony Brook - at No. 24 while Elon is getting votes.

Elon will hit the road against this weekend with a visit to New Hampshire on Saturday, Oct. 5. Kickoff on FloSports and NBC Sports Boston is set for 3:30 p.m. from Wildcat Stadium.
