ELON, N.C. – Elon University men's tennis continued its fall season this weekend, Oct. 22-25, at ITA Carolina Regionals in Cary, N.C.

THE RUNDOWN (SINGLES)
-Â Kyle Frankel led the way for the Phoenix in singles play, earning two wins in the Main Singles draw. Frankel opened play by outlasting Elijah Poritzki 6-2, 3-6, 7-5 in a three set battle, before defeating Collin Shick 6-3, 6-3 to advance to the round of 32 in the tournament.
-Â Nicholas Condos defeated Juan Camilo Gongora 6-2, 6-2 in straight sets to earn his lone singles victory of the tournament.
-Â Nicholas Campbell added a singles win of his own, taking down Arturo Kam in straight sets 6-3, 7-5.
-Â In the consolation bracket, Daniel Martin advanced to the round of 16, picking up two singles wins along the way. In his first consolation match, Martin outlasted Danil Ozernoy 3-6, 6-3, 12-10 to move on to the round of 32. Martin followed that up with a three-set victory over Esteban Lopez 6-2, 3-6, 10-1 in his final singles win of the weekend.

THE RUNDOWN (DOUBLES)
-Â The combination of Kyle Frankel and Camilo Ponce logged the lone doubles win for the Phoenix in the Main Doubles draw, taking down NCAT's Blanco and Baly 6-1, 6-0.
-Â Daniel Martin and Chung-Han Tsai bounced back to earn a doubles win in the consolation bracket, defeating NC State's Shick and Shick 6-1, 7-6(4) over the weekend.
-Â The duo of Nicholas Campbell and Nicholas Condos rounded out the doubles wins for the Phoenix at ITA Carolina Regionals, defeating Vallabhaneni and Khan via walkover.
