CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Elon University baseball team (1-3) suffered its third loss of the season on Tuesday, Feb. 23 as it came up short against ACC foe, North Carolina.
ON THE MOUND
Kyle Greenler was given the loss, falling to 0-2 on the season. The redshirt sophomore posted three strikeouts in two innings in addition to allowing three runs.
Spencer Bauer made the start for the Phoenix, matching Greenler's strikeout total in the same number of innings.

Cole Reynolds,
Ian Evans and
Joe Sprake also made appearances on the bump.
AT THE PLATE
Alex Iadisernia went 3-3 on the day to pace the Phoenix bats, scoring the lone Elon run.
Anthony Galason also went 1-4, including the RBI double that brought home Iadisernia.
THE RUNDOWN
The Tar Heels got on the board first in the bottom of the third. With the bases loaded, a passed ball scored the first UNC run. Following a pair of strikeouts and a walk, North Carolina hit an RBI single that brought in two more runs to put the Tar Heels up 3-0.
Iadisernia led off the top of the sixth with a single down the left field line. After a fly out from
Garrett Stonehouse, Galason doubled to right center to score Iadisernia.
With a runner on first in the bottom of the seventh, North Carolina hit a double to bring around the runner and record the final run scored.
