RICHMOND, Va.—The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) announced on Monday, March 22 that junior Kayla Hodges has been named the CAA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Last week, Elon earned its first conference win of the season when it defeated James Madison in overtime, 1-0. Despite the Dukes taking 12 shots over the course of the game, Hodges and the rest of the Phoenix backline prevented any JMU shots from being on goal.
 
Elon will next host South Carolina at Rudd Field on Thursday, March 25 at 6 p.m.
