Men's Soccer Returns To Action Tomorrow Evening Against Campbell

ELON, N.C. – The Elon University men's soccer team returns to action tomorrow, March 28, when its travels to Buies Creek, N.C. for a 6 p.m. matchup with Campbell.

THE MATCHUP
• This marks the 21st time Elon and Campbell will meet in a match in program history, with the Elon leading 10-9-1 in the all-time series.
• Elon defeated Campbell, 2-0, in the most recent meeting between the two programs in 2015.
 
ABOUT ELON
• Head coach Marc Reeves is entering his fourth season at the helm of the Phoenix program. Reeves spent seven years as the head coach at Radford prior to joining Elon in 2017.
• The Phoenix is off to a 1-4 start to the season after falling to JMU, 1-0, in its most recent outing.
• Victor StromstenChristian Lauenborg and Jake Kelly are tied for the team lead in total points (3), each registering one goal and one assist through three games this season.
• Mattias Cooper and Jannik Vidabaek have each scored a goal for the Phoenix this season, ranking second on the team in total points (2).
• Jack Dolk logged his first assist of the season against VCU and ranks third on the team in total points (1).
• Cameron Pelle is 1-2 in goal for the Phoenix this season, racking up 12 saves along the way.
 
SCOUTING CAMPBELL
• The Camels are off to a 5-2-1 start to this season after defeating Longwood, 1-0, in its most recent outing.
• Campbell is in the midst of its sixth season under Dustin Fonder, who led the Camels to back-to-back Big South Championships in 2018 and 2019.
• The Camels are led by Jalen James, who leads in goals (5) and points (12).
• Samuel Lechuga is expected to be in the net for Campbell. Lechuga has four shutouts so far this season, making 12 saves along the way.
 
UP NEXT
The Phoenix will be back in action on Sunday, April 4, when it hosts College of Charleston in a 4 p.m. contest at Rudd Field on Elon's campus.
