BLACKSBURG, Va.— Elon University women's soccer recorded its second loss of the season as it fell to Virginia Tech on Aug. 26, 7-1.

THE RUNDOWN
-The Hokies got out in front early as they took a 5-0 lead before a 45-minute lighting delay.
-After the match resumed and two more Hokie goals,
Abby Fusca scored the final goal of the night to get the Phoenix on the board with 37 seconds remaining in the second half.
NOTES
-Fusca's goal was the first Virginia Tech allowed this season. The opponents held scoreless included Loyola (Md.) (exhibition), Richmond (exhibition), Liberty and William & Mary. The goal was also Fusca's first of the season.
-
Lydia Totten paced the maroon and gold in shots taken (2).
-In goal,
McKenna Dalfonso (1-2) posted a pair of saves.
Katrin Hauksdottir also made her first appearance of the season, recording one save on the night.
-The Phoenix now stands at 1-2 on the season, while the Hokies remain undefeated (3-0).
