CARY, N.C. – The Elon University men's tennis team concluded the second day at the ITA Carolina Regionals on Saturday. 

Elon picked up two wins in the opening round of the doubles draw. The freshman duo of Oskar Antinheimo and Veljko Krstic teamed up for a 6-0, 4-6, 10-8 victory over Bruno Serra and Chester Wickwire of UNC Asheville, while the team of Daniel Martin and Nicholas Campbell posted a 6-4, 6-2 win against Esteban Lopez and Vasil Ivanov of North Carolina A&T. Both teams went on to lose in the second round. 
 
In singles, Martin was eliminated from the main draw with a 6-3, 7-6 (2) defeat against NC State's Braden Schick in the third round. In the consolation draw, Krstic earned Elon's lone singles victory of the day with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph over Matt Pitts of Clemson. The freshman is Elon's last remaining player in the consolation draw and will face Oliver Saarinen of North Carolina Central on Sunday at 9 a.m.
