BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Elon University men's tennis team won five of its six singles matches on Sunday to conclude its fall season at the Virginia Tech Halloween Clash.
Daniel Martin completed a perfect weekend in singles play, as the junior picked up a 6-4, 7-5 win against Purdue's Daniel Labrador. Martin went 3-0 in singles matches in the event to finish Elon's fall season with a team-high nine victories.
Nicholas Campbell and Veljko Krstic both tallied their second singles wins of the tournament. Campbell won 6-4, 6-4 against Purdue's Michal Wozniak, while Krstic cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Purdue's Al-Khan Mujtaba. Krstic finished the fall season with seven wins, five of which came in Elon's final two events.
Nicholas Condos delivered his first singles victory since Oct. 9 with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph over Purdue's Hassan Boroudi, while freshman Oskar Antinheimo won a three-set battle against Tomasz Dudek of Purdue, 6-1, 5-7, 6-1.
