SETTING THE SCENE

Elon looks to build its resume for an FCS playoff bid Saturday as the Phoenix closes out the regular season at Hampton beginning at 1:00 p.m. With a 7-3 record, three victories over ranked opponents, and a national ranking, one more win will put the Phoenix on the inside track to the program's first playoff bid since 2018.
Elon would earn its eighth win of the season with a victory, which would be the most since the 2017 team also won eight regular season games. The school record for wins in a season as an FCS team is nine (achieved by the first Elon FCS team in 1999 as well as 2009).
Elon played 11 consecutive games and will be on a bye in week 12.
For those not in attendance Saturday, the game can be streamed via FloSports.

Elon and Hampton are meeting for the first time in program history. The Phoenix is 2-3 away from home this season, while Hampton has an identical 2-3 record at home in Armstrong Stadium.
