ELON, N.C. - Elon University women's tennis won its fifth match in six outings on Tuesday, Feb. 22, defeating North Carolina A&T, 6-1, at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Olivia Archer led the way for the Phoenix, taking down Manuela Jiminez in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. Archer has now won three of her last four singles matches and holds a 1-0 mark in No. 4 singles.
- Victoria Saldh picked up her second consecutive win, making quick work of Marlene Pineda 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 2 slot. With the win, Saldh now sits at 2-5 overall this season.
- Shauna Galvin clinched the match for Elon, defeating Trinity Oliver 6-0, 6-0 in straight sets. It was Galvin's first contest of the season as the junior now holds a 1-0 mark in No. 5 singles.
- Lizette Reding rounded out the singles victories for the Phoenix, outlasting Florielvis Pernaleta 6-4, 6-2 on Tuesday. Reding moved to 1-0 in No. 1 singles in the match.
- The combination of Saldh and Julie Ball got the ball rolling for the Phoenix in doubles play, defeating Pernaleta and Pineda 6-0 in the No. 1 slot. Ball and Saldh now hold a 4-3 overall record this season after emerging with a victory in three of their last four finished doubles contests.
- Archer and Alison O'Dea clinched the doubles point for Elon on Court 2, taking down Jiminez and Tapia-Cruz 6-3. The duo is now 4-3 this year with wins in each of their last four matches.
