ELON, N.C. - Elon University men's tennis rounded out its season on Sunday, April 24, falling to second-seeded UNCW, 4-2, in the CAA Championship match at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center on Elon's campus.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Nicholas Campbell got the ball rolling for Elon in singles play, taking down Davide Innocenti 6-1, 6-3 in No. 2 singles. Campbell ends his season with a 14-9 overall mark and five consecutive wins.
- Kyle Frankel picked up the other singles win for the Phoenix in the match, outlasting Reece Falck 7-6, 6-4 in the No. 1 slot. Frankel concludes the year with a 12-10 dual match record and a 10-10 mark at No. 1.
- After dropping the first set 4-6, Daniel Martin battled back in the second, earning a 7-6 tiebreaker win over Bakhzod Rasmatov to force a third set. In the decisive final battle Martin held a 3-2 lead before the match went unfinished due to UNCW clinching the team win. Martin finishes the season with a team-best 17-4 overall record, including a 13-1 mark in the No. 3 slot.
- Camilo Ponce jumped out to an early one set lead after taking down Gabe Hurtado 7-5 to open his singles match. Hurtado battled back from there, earning 6-1 and 6-3 wins in the final two sets to clinch the match for UNCW. Ponce rounds out the year with a 10-9 overall record.
- The combination of Frankel and Ponce was knotted up at 5-5 in No. 2 doubles against Innocenti and Falck but the match went unfinished due to the Seahawks clinching the doubles point.
