Competed primarily in the No. 1 position...Finished the season with a 12-10 overall record...Ended the year with three consecutive victories... Picked up wins against Campbell, North Carolina A&T, Gardner-Webb, Furman, Wofford, Davidson, Radford, UNCG and UNCW...Posted a 10-9 mark in doubles play, competing primarily in the No. 2 slot...Won four of his final six doubles contests to end the season...Earned key decisions over Longwood, North Carolina A&T, Furman, Wofford, #45 Charlotte, Davidson, Charleston...Named to the All-CAA First Team for singles...Is now Elon's all-time winningest singles player with 67 career victories... Spring 2021 (Senior)
Named 2021 CAA Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year ... Recorded a 15-2 record in singles, appearing mainly in the No. 1 position (11-2) ... Went undefeated at home (9-0) ... Ranked No. 125 in Oracle ITA Singles rankings on March 31 ... Earned CAA Player of the Week honors on Feb. 17 after going 4-0 to start the season, posting wins against players from Liberty, Davidson, North Carolina A&T and Gardner Webb ... Went 2-0 against William & Mary's Brenden Volk, including a 6-3, 6-0 win on March 7 and a 6-2, 6-4 victory in the CAA Championship on May 1 ... Topped Liberty's Goncalo Ferreira on Jan. 18 with a 6-2, 6-2 win ... Finished the season on a four-match win streak after defeating players from NC Central, James Madison, Drexel and William & Mary ... Also went 14-3 in doubles, earning wins in his last nine matches in the No. 2 position ... Selected as part of the CAA Doubles Team of the Week on April 28 and March 31 ... Went 7-0 alongside Camilo Ponce in the two spot ... Earned a 6-2 win with Ponce over Charlotte's Ben Wayand and Stefanos Savva on April 2 ... Registered a 6-3 win alongside Ponce in the No. 2 position against VCU on March 28 ... Partnered with Nicholas Condos to earn a 7-6 (1) win against Liberty's Christiaan Worst and Deji Thomas-Smith in the No. 2 position to begin the season on Jan. 18. 

Spring 2020 (Junior)
Named the CAA Men's Tennis Player of the Week on March 11 after going 2-0 at No. 1 singles against Charleston and Richmond...Recorded a 6-7 overall record in No. 1 singles...Earned his first win against Longwood on Feb. 15...Posted a 6-2, 6-3 win against North Carolina A&T (2/26)...Including his wins against the Cougars and Spiders, he defeated opponents from William & Mary and Navy to finish the season on a four-match win streak...Also teamed up with Nicholas Condos and Camilo Ponce in the No. 1 doubles spot to produce a 6-5 overall record, including a 6-2 record when competing with Condos...Earned their first win of the season in the home opener against N.C. Central (2/7)...Defeated Campbell and NC A&T in the final matchups of February...Ended the season on a three-match win streak, posting wins against William & Mary, Charleston, and Navy. 

Fall 2019 (Junior)
Went 8-5 in singles action...Posted two wins in each weekend of competition...Defeated Duke's Sean Sculley and Appalachian State's Alex Pavkovich at the ITA Carolina Regionals...Recorded a pair of wins at the Duke James Bonk Invitational against opponents from UNCW and NC State...Picked up 6-2, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-0 wins against North Carolina A&T and Davidson at the Spartan Fall Invitational...Earned a pair of victories against Liberty and Virginia Tech at the Liberty Invitational...Also matched in singles record in doubles play with Camilo Ponce and Nicholas Condos (8-5)...Went on a six-match win streak, picking up victories against opponents from Davidson, UNCG, North Carolina Central, Wake Forest, and UNCW...Recorded a 7-5 victory over Charlotte with Ponce...Won his first pair of matchup of the season alongside Condos against Kennesaw State (6-3).

Named an All-CAA Second Team honoree for both singles and doubles...Helped lead Elon to its first CAA Championship in 2019 and first NCAA Championships appearance since 2014...Was named the Most Outstanding Performer at the 2019 CAA Championships...Collected All-CAA Second Team honors for doubles along with doubles partner Camilo Ponce...Set a single-season program record with 21 dual match singles victories...Posted a team-best 21-4 record in singles and had a 12-6 record in doubles action...Played primarily at the No. 4 singles spot and the No. 2 doubles position...Won his key match on court three against Bruno Caula of UNCW in the CAA Championship match to set up Ponce's match-clinching victory on court five to lead Elon to an epic 4-3 come-from-behind win...Recorded a season-long 14-match winning streak in singles that lasted from March 7 until April 20...Finished the year winning 16 of his last 18 singles matches...Highlighted the year in singles with victories over Carlos Kelaidis of Clemson, Mohamed Abdel-Aziz of Rice, David Gonzalez of ETSU, and Bruno Caula of UNCW...Was named CAA Player of the Week on March 13 after defeating Gonzalo Adis of James Madison and Oren Vasser of William & Mary during Elon's 2-0 week...Recorded a 12-5 doubles record with Ponce at the No. 2 position...Also played one doubles match with Dino Bonetta...Frankel and Ponce put together a five-match winning streak from April 6-20, until the streak was snapped in the NCAA Championships against No. 18-Georgia...Was given the Coaches' Award by the team at the Elon Athletics Banquet...Named to the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

Fall 2018 (Sophomore)
Finished the fall season with an 8-4 singles record and a 3-4 doubles mark...Played doubles with three different partners, which included Taylor Foote, Felipe Osses-Konig and Camilo Ponce...Reached the Round of 16 in the Consolation Bracket at the ITA Carolina Regionals and finished with a 4-1 record at the tournament...Defeated Ryan Mueller of Wake Forest, Robert Turzak of NC State, Luka Eble of USC Upstate and Constandinos Christoforou of Charlotte in the consolation rounds...Also picked up two singles victories at the Elon Fall Invitational and the Charlotte Invitational...Paired up with Foote to finish runner-up at the Elon Invitational in the Maroon Doubles Draw.

Spring 2018 (Freshman)
Posted a strong 13-9 singles record with a 6-3 doubles ledger in his first dual-match season...His 13 victories finished second on the team behind CAA Player of the Year Felipe Sarrasague’s 14...Played primarily at No. 3, going 12-8 in the position...After starting the spring 1-5, rattled off a 9-1 run to right the ship...Battled Wake Forest’s Skander Mansouri, the 15th-ranked player in the country, to a tight 6-4, 6-2 final...In doubles, finished the year winning four of the last five matches of the year with Camilo Ponce...Was named CAA Player of the Week on April 10 after helping Elon come from behind on the road against CAA foe James Madison, beating Alvaro Arce Garcia 4-6, 6-1, 6-2...Was named the Most Improved Player by the team at the Elon Athletics Banquet...Named to the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

Fall 2017 (Freshman)
Posted a team-best nine singles victories while going 9-3 overall to go with a 3-4 doubles mark with three different partners...Reached the semifinals of the B draw at the Duke James Bonk Invite, beating George Washington’s Breno Plentz and top-seeded Philip Mobius of VCU before falling to Charlotte’s Sam Rice...Earned fifth place in the Elon Invitational Gold singles draw...Reached the consolation Round of 32 at the ITA Carolina Regionals by beating opponents from Coastal Carolina and Furman...Also won all three matches at the Spartan Fall Invitational against opponents from UNC Asheville, UNCG and East Carolina...Finished third in the Elon Invitational Gold doubles draw with Mario Paccini.

Prior to Elon
Experienced a lot of success at the junior tennis level...Won the 2016 TIHTA Aruba G4 ITF Championship without losing a set and also won the doubles championship...Claimed the 2016 Jamaica ITF Championship...Also won doubles championships at the 2015 TIHTA Aruba and the Trinidad ITF G4 championships...Climbed as high as No. 283 in the ITF rankings...Attended high school at Montverde Academy in Florida under the direction of head coach Jamie Oncins...At school, reached the finals of the state championships in 2016 and 2017 - winning the title in 2017 - and was named team MVP for both the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons...Was also an honor roll student.
