SETTING THE SCENE

Elon travels to long-time rival Wofford Saturday for its first game of the 2022 season against an FCS opponent. The game is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. kickoff from Spartanburg, S.C.
For those not in attendance, the game can be streamed via ESPN3. In order to view the game on ESPN3, fans must have a verified cable/streaming provider.
The audio broadcast begins with the pregame show at 5:30 p.m. with Taylor Durham and Gray Aust. The audio broadcast is available for free via The Varsity Network app on your mobile device.
Wofford holds a 28-11 advantage in the all-time series, which includes a 24-22 victory a year ago in Rhodes Stadium in the season opener. Elon battled back from a 21-20 deficit to take a 22-21 lead into the fourth quarter, but the Terriers connected on a field goal for the win.
Wofford went 0-5 at home a year ago and has lost seven straight inside Gibbs Stadium. Elon was 4-2 on the road in 2021 but did open the 2022 campaign with a 42-31 loss at Vanderbilt.
