Camryn Levin and a go-ahead goal in the final minute of regulation by sophomore
Sammy Fisher for a 14-13 nail-biting win over George Mason Thursday evening. With the win, Elon improves to 2-2 on the season and George Mason falls to 0-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Phoenix got off to a fast start, taking a quick 3-0 lead thanks to goals by the sophomore trio of Fisher, Cierra Hopson, and Kailey McKenna.
- After a goal by George Mason cut the lead to 3-1, Elon went on a 4-0 run to extend their advantage to 7-1. George Mason responded with a 3-0 run of its own to cut the Elon lead to 7-4 heading into the half.
- George Mason outscored the Phoenix 7-3 in the third quarter to take an 11-10 lead heading into the final frame.
- After going down 13-11 midway through the fourth quarter, Elon scored the final three goals of the game to come away with a narrow 14-13 victory.
- Bridget Kelly scored the game-tying goal with 6:04 to play, and Fisher put Elon ahead for good with just under a minute to play.

STATS AND NOTES
- Sammy Fisher stuffed the stat sheet, recording a career high in points with five, scoring three goals and assisting on two.
- Fisher also won eight draw controls, caused two turnovers, and picked up a ground ball.
- Freshman goalie Caitlin Walsh had five saves in 11 attempts while playing just 24 minutes.
- Camryn Levin led Elon in goals and had a career high with four. She was one of five Phoenix to score, with Fisher and Cierra Hopson each adding hat tricks.
- Bridget Kelly scored two goals, both in the fourth quarter, and Kailey McKenna and Emma Flynn each added their first goals of the season.
- Kaley Ehnow had a career high three assists.
- Brooke Scheuermann and Kelly led Elon in ground balls with two apiece.
- George Mason had 13 turnovers compared to nine for Elon. The Phoenix was also 14-of-16 on clear attempts.
- George Mason led 18-13 in draw controls and 27-23Â in shot attempts, as well as 11-10 on ground balls.
- Of Elon's four games this year, three have been decided by just one goal, including an overtime contest.
- Elon and George Mason played for the first time in program history.
