ELON, N.C. – The Elon University women's tennis team picked up a 5-0 victory against North Carolina A&T at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center on Tuesday.

With the win, the Phoenix improves to 6-3 on the season. The Aggies drop to 2-1.
 
THE RUNDOWN

• Sibel Tanik and Lizette Reding clinched the doubles point for the Phoenix with a 6-0 win on Court 1 against Cielo Tapia-Cruz and Nuria Sanz. The duo is now 4-3 on the season. 
• Miray Konar improved to 5-0 on the season in singles with a 6-2, 6-2 triumph on Court 5 against Asima Sazan. The was the sophomore's first win at the No. 5 spot, as her previous four victories came at No. 6
• Olivia Archer battled to win the first set of her match against Nour Gueblaoui in a tiebreak on Court 4 before winning the second 6-3, clinching the match for the Phoenix. The win is the Archer's 61^st of Archer's career, as the fifth-year senior is now just seven back of Frida Jansaker (2011-2014) for the most singles wins in Elon's Division I history. 
• Playing her first ever match at the No. 2 spot, Helen Sarikulaya won 7-5, 6-3 on Court 2 against Cielo Tapia-Cruz to make it 5-0 for Elon.
• The Phoenix is 3-0 at home this season and 2-0 at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.
