GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Elon University men's tennis team had its five-match winning streak snapped on Sunday when it fell 4-2 against Presbyterian at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center.

The match was moved indoors to Greensboro due to early afternoon rain in Elon. With the loss, Elon is now 10-6 on the season. Presbyterian improves to 10-9 with the victory.
 
THE RUNDOWN

• Elon won its sixth consecutive doubles point, extending its longest streak of the season. 
• Nicholas Condos and Ben Zipay picked up a 6-1 victory on Court 3 for Elon's first win of the day. The duo is now 8-2 on the season. 
• Presbyterian won at the No. 1 spot but Oskar Antinheimo and Veljko Krstic clinched doubles for the Phoenix with a 6-4 win at the No. 2 spot. The two freshmen have now won their last four matches together and are 4-1 on the season.
• The Blue Hose tied the match at 1-1 with a win at No. 1 singles before Krstic won on Court 3 to put the Phoenix up 2-1. The freshman defeated Presbyterian's Sebastian Dominguez 6-4, 6-3. His 11 singles wins this season are tied with Daniel Martin for the most on the team. 
• Presbyterian won the next three completed singles contests to clinch the match. Two of the wins came in deciding sets. 
• The loss was Elon's first of the season in a home match though the Phoenix is still 7-0 at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center this season.

Elon returns to the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center on Thursday for a match against Delaware. The contest will begin at 1 p.m.
