ELON, N.C. – The Elon University men's tennis team capped off its regular season with a strong showing on Friday as the Phoenix defeated North Carolina A&T 6-1 at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.

With the win, Elon improves to 13-8 on the season. The Aggies fall to 15-2. 
 
THE RUNDOWN

• After the Aggies took No. 1 doubles, Daniel Martin and Luke Queiroz posted a 7-5 win on Court 3 to even the session. It was the pair's second straight win as Queiroz improved to 4-0 on the season in doubles and Martin became the second Elon player to reach double-digit doubles victories on the campaign.
• Playing the No. 2 spot, Nicholas Condos and Ben Zipay won 7-5 in a tiebreak to clinch a competitive doubles point for the Phoenix. The duo finishes the regular season with a team-best 12-2 mark. 
• Martin rolled at No. 1 singles and put Elon up 2-0 as he defeated North Carolina A&T's Esteban Lopez 6-2, 6-1 for his 15th victory on the season. 
• Zipay improved to 11-3 this season in singles with a 6-1, 6-3 result on Court 6 against Mathieu Dussaubat. The victory put the Phoenix ahead 3-0. 
• Freshman Oskar Antinheimo secured the winning point for Elon with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Ethan Baly at the No. 5 position. Antinheimo's 13 wins in the regular season were the third most behind Martin and Veljko Krstic. 
• Krstic picked up a 6-3, 6-4 win on Court 3 against Vasil Ivanov to put the Phoenix ahead 5-0. The freshman's 15 wins are tied with Martin for the most on the team. 
• The Aggies won at No. 2 singles before Condos closed out the match with a 6-3, 3-6, 11-9 win on Court 4 against Alex Martinez. 
• With the win, Elon is now 15-0 all-time against the Aggies. This was their first meeting as conference opponents.

Elon will head to Williamsburg, Va., to compete in the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Tennis Tournament on April 27-30.
