ELON, N.C. – The Elon University softball team had a Coastal Athletic Association-high 17 athletes represented as Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes as announced by the coach's association on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
 
Representing the Phoenix as Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes were Taylor Cherry, Carley Davis, Bella Devesa, Isley Duggins, Megan Grant, Reagan Hartley, Chloe Hatzopoulos, Kaitlin King, McKenna McCard, Drew Menscer, Claudia Penny, Gabi Schaal, Allee Seering, Payton Swart, Kaitlyn Wells, Meredith Wells and Mary Moss Wirt.
 
As a team, the Phoenix posted a 3.662 cumulative GPA for the 2022-23 academic year, finishing in the top 20 in the nation among Division I softball schools at 18^th overall. Elon was the second-highest ranked team from the CAA behind Hofstra's team GPA of 3.69, which ranked 11^th in the country.
 
To be eligible, a student-athlete must achieve a 3.5 or better cumulative GPA for the 2022-23 academic year only.
