Richmond, Va. – Elon University redshirt senior wide receiver
Chandler Brayboy has been named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference Monday.
Brayboy had a career-high 183 receiving yards, including a 66-yard touchdown reception on Elon's first offensive play from scrimmage, and 309 all-purpose yards in a 50-27 win over Campbell on Elon's Homecoming. The 309 all-purpose yards are the most in a single-game in FCS this season.
He had eight receptions and two touchdowns, while also returning two kickoffs for 113 yards, an average of 56.5 per kick. He added a 13-yard rush as well. Brayboy leads all of FCS with 40.7 yards per kick return, which is on pace to break the FCS single-season record. His 146.5 all-purpose yards per game rank seventh nationally, first in the CAA, and his 78.8 receiving yards per contest is No. 25 in FCS.
Brayboy was named CAA Special Teams Player of the Week two weeks ago after returning two kickoffs for touchdown in a victory at UAlbany.
Elon will head on the road to face William & Mary Saturday at 1:00 p.m. looking to win for the third time in the last four weeks.
