SETTING THE STAGE
- Elon returns to Virginia for the second time in three weeks to face William & Mary Saturday at 1:00 p.m. for the 10th meeting between the two programs. William & Mary leads the all-time series 5-4 but it is tied 2-2 in Williamsburg, which includes a wild 35-31 Phoenix victory in 2022. The Tribe led 28-10 at the half and 31-16 after three quarters but Elon used a 19-point fourth quarter to get the win.
- Elon is 2-2 on the road this year while William & Mary is 4-0 at home, averaging 39.8 points and outscoring their opponents by 23.3 points in those four contests.
- Elon's Chandler Brayboy is coming off of arguably the best game of his career. He had a career-best 183 receiving yards and 309 all-purpose yards, the most by any player in the FCS in a single-game this year. It is also the Elon program FCS record for all-purpose yards in a game.
- Saturday's game will be streamed on FloSports, with Jay Colley and Mike Leach on the call.
- Taylor Durham and Dr. Khirey Walker will handle the audio duties with the pregame show beginning at 12:30 p.m. It can be heard for free via The Varsity Network app on your mobile device or by visiting ElonPhoenix.com and clicking on Live Audio on the football schedule.
