ELON, N.C – Due to expected inclement weather this afternoon, the final day of the Elon Softball Classic has been canceled.
 
Elon was scheduled to host Appalachian State in the tournament finale on Sunday, Feb. 11, at 2:30 p.m. following the neutral site contest between Evansville and Miami (Ohio) at 12 p.m. The Phoenix closed out its opening weekend with a 3-1 ledger after earning a 5-4 walk-off win in extras yesterday versus Evansville.
 
The Phoenix will focus its attention on its next slate of games at the Marucci Classic, hosted by NC State next weekend, Feb. 16-18. Elon will face the field of North Dakota State, UConn and NC State at the tournament.
