Elon finishes its opening homestand with a perfect 5-0 record and is now 5-3 on the season. Hampton falls to 1-6 with the defeat.

THE RUNDOWN
  • With a new-look lineup, Elon rolled to its fifth straight doubles point.
  • Playing doubles together for the second time this season, Veljko Krstic and Daniel Martin teamed up for 6-0 victory on Court 2. It was Krstic's first doubles victory of the season in just his second appearance, while Martin extended his winning streak in doubles to five, with the other four victories coming alongside Dylan Heap
  • Making his dual debut for the Phoenix, freshman Alonso Roca paired with fellow freshman Jack Curtis at No. 3 doubles. They proceeded to pitch a 6-0 shutout to clinch the doubles point for the Phoenix. Curtis now stands alone with six doubles victories to lead the team, as he has won five straight appearances at the No. 3 position.
  • Playing the No. 1 spot for the first time this season, Juan Sengariz and Ben Zipay won 6-2 to complete a doubles sweep for the Phoenix. The duo has now won one match at each of the three doubles spots this season.
  • Elon finishes its five-match homestand with a 12-1 mark in completed doubles contests. Five different doubles pairings and all eight Elon players won a match in that span.
  • After being the last doubles match to finish, Zipay wasted little time winning in singles, cruising to a 6-0, 6-0 triumph over Hampton's Benjamin Mwanza on Court 6. This is the first time in Zipay's career he has won a singles match without dropping a game.
  • Returning to the No. 1 singles spot after playing No. 2 singles in Elon's last match, Krstic won with a dominant 6-0, 6-2 effort against Donte Armbrister. It was the sophomore's first win at No. 1 singles in four tries this season. In the last two matches, Krstic is 4-0 in singles sets and has dropped just eight games in that stretch.
  • Making his first appearance of the season at No. 4 singles, Heap delivered the winning point for the Phoenix with a 6-2, 6-0 victory against Shine Tokas. The graduate student has now won three singles appearances in a row, all of which have come in straight sets.
  • Seconds after Heap's win, Martin polished off a 6-2, 6-1 victory of his own on Court 2 against Daniel Flynn. It was Martin's second win of the season at the No. 2 singles spot.
  • On Court 3, Oskar Antinheimo followed up his heroics against Gardner-Webb on Thursday with a much less dramatic affair Saturday, defeating Emiliano Jorquera 6-3, 6-0 for a team-best seventh singles win of the season.
  • In the first dual singles match of his career, Roca stormed back after losing the first set against Aryan Arora to force a match tiebreak. The freshman broke serve in the final game of the second to win it 6-2, the first set victory of his career. However, before the match tiebreak could begin, a steady rain began to fall, forcing the match to be abandoned.
  • The Phoenix concludes its five-match homestand with a 24-5 record in completed singles contests.
  • This is the second straight season Elon has begun 5-0 in home matches.
  • With the win, Elon is now 2-0 this season against CAA opponents.
