The Phoenix won the doubles point and then got victories from its three freshmen in singles to secure the shutout win. With the victory, Elon improved to 14-9 on the season and will advance to play No. 4 Drexel in Friday's quarterfinals. Monmouth finishes its season 3-15 with the defeat.

THE RUNDOWN
  • Elon won at the Nos. 2 and 3 spots to take the doubles point.
  • Madison Cordisco and Mariana Reding kicked off the day for the Phoenix with a 6-0 win on Court 2. It was their 13th of the season together and their second to come by a 6-0 score. The win was their fifth against a conference opponent.
  • Making their CAA Tournament debuts together on Court 3, freshmen Simone Bergeron and Ella Suk won 6-3 to secure the doubles point for the maroon and gold. It was also their 13th win of the season, tied with Elon's No. 2 tandem for the most on the team.
  • On Court 1, Sibel Tanik and Lizette Reding led 4-2 when their match was halted.
  • The successful doubles point was Elon's 16th out of its last 19.
  • Suk continued her strong play in singles, sweeping Monmouth's Lauren Landstrom 6-0, 6-0 to move the Phoenix ahead 2-0. The freshman reached double-digit victories on the season with the result. This was her second win of the season at the No. 5 spot and her second time winning a match without dropping a game. The other came against Fairield on March 5.
  • Suk's doubles partner Bergeron wasted little time matching her teammate's result, as the freshman cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Madison Mills on Court 6. The win has her 11th of the season, nine of which have come at the No. 6 position. This was also her third time winning a match 6-0, 6-0 and her fifth victory against a conference opponent this season.
  • Elon was within two games of victory on the four remaining courts but Mariana Reding took the honor of clinching the win with a 6-2, 6-1 triumph at the No. 3 spot against Hana McKinney. It was her 14th victory of the season and eighth at the No. 3 position. Of her 14 wins this season, 11 have come in straight sets.
  • On Court 2, Tanik led 6-0, 5-3 over Nitika Girish when her match was halted. Lizette Reding was up 6-3, 4-0 against Lana Brezanin on Court 1 and Helen Sarikulaya was ahead 6-1, 4-2 when those contests were halted.
  • This is Elon's ninth consecutive season winning at least one CAA Tournament match. It was also the program's 10th overall victory at the event.
