Elon Leads Early, Falls In Northeastern Series Finale

Brookline, Mass.- The Elon Phoenix (17-26, 6-12 CAA) got out to an early 2-0 lead against the Northeastern Huskies (31-11, 13-5 CAA), but came up short in a 13-2 loss Sunday afternoon.

The Phoenix received early production from the combination of Charlie Granatell and Kenny Mallory Jr. who both finished with a base knock in Sunday's loss to the Huskies.

  • Northeastern grabbed the lead in the bottom of the second following a barrage of hits to take a 3-2 lead.
