Grace Gelhaus,
Lauren McCauley and

How It Happened
- Within the first five minutes the Phoenix had not produced a shot against the Pirate defense. But a foul on Jenna Abousaab set up the Phoenix in a dangerous position.
- Kennedy Jones lined up the free kick and went bar down to put the Phoenix up 1-0 with another beauty of a goal.
- Jones would set up another as she found Lydia Totten behind the Pirate defense who slotted home an easy finish to give the Phoenix a pair of goals in under two minutes.
- Elon continued to pepper the Pirate goal with chances. Grace Gelhaus found the back of the net from way outside the box from another free kick as the goalie went for the two-handed grab, but Gelhaus put enough power to see the ball dive under the bar to give the Phoenix a 3-0 lead.
- Going into the second half, a number of Elon players would find the stat sheet for the first time in the final 45.
- Lauren McCauley found her first goal of the season on a combination between Jess Beck getting behind the defense and Megan Dwyer setting her up for a clear shot.
- Lydia Totten found her second goal of the game on a corner kick off a beautiful ball from Maddy Baird who puts up a goal contribution for the first time in her career.
- Elon found their final goal from another set piece as Megan Dwyer found the back of the net from another Baird cross.
- The final 20 minutes were spent giving the five seniors their well-deserved curtain calls as the reserves saw the match out and gave Elon their third straight CAA win.
