Egersunds, Norway.- Elon midfielder Scott Vatne has signed a professional contract with Egersunds IK (EIK) following his stellar career in the maroon & gold. Vatne has signed a three-year deal with the club, securing his services through 2027.
 
Founded in 1919, EIK are a second division club in Norway's professional ranks. Vatne enjoyed a spell at the club before arriving at Elon where he played eight games and scored two goals for Egersunds IK.
 
Vatne signs the contract with EIK following a CAA Player of the Year season with the Phoenix. The Klepp, Norway native finished his senior season with team highs in goals (10), assists (7) and points (27) on his way to First Team All-CAA and First Team All-Region honors.
 
Vatne and EIK will begin their season with a series of friendlies beginning on Feb. 14 before beginning 1. Division action on March 13.
