ELON – The Elon University volleyball team and head coach Matt Troy announced the addition of Justin Paggao as an assistant coach to the Phoenix staff on Friday.
 
Paggao comes to Elon after spending last season as an assistant coach at UNCG. Before his time with the Spartans, he served two seasons (2022-23) as director of volleyball operations at Wake Forest.
 
While with the Demon Deacons, Paggao oversaw daily program operations and coordinated team travel. He also assisted the coaching staff as Wake Forest earned back-to-back USMC/AVCA Team Academic Awards and coached the 2022 ACC Freshman of the Year.
 
A native of Lombard, Illinois, Paggao was the varsity head coach at Northern Guilford High School during the 2019-20 season and spent four years as associate club director with the Piedmont Volleyball Club in Greensboro.
 
Paggao graduated from Illinois State University in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a minor in information systems. He later earned a master's degree in student affairs in higher education from Marquette University in 2017.
