WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Elon University men's tennis team racked up five victories Friday at the Wake Forest Invite. The Phoenix won three matches in singles and two in doubles.

Nikola Parichkov went 3-0 on the day across singles and doubles. He came from a set down to defeat NC State's Cody Benton, 0-6, 6-4, 6-4, in the B singles draw before pairing up with Charles Pilet for a pair of doubles triumphs in the B2 doubles flight. The sophomore leads the Phoenix with seven doubles victories this fall, which have come with three different partners. 

Also winning in singles Friday for the Phoenix was Rafael Ymer and Jack Curtis, with both coming through in straight sets. Curtis took down UNCW's Devon Moskowitz, 6-3, 7-6 (4) in the B draw, while Ymer beat Leon Zaorski from VCU, 6-2, 6-1 in the A2 flight. Curtis is now 7-3 in singles this fall, with Ymer improving to 4-3.

Play will continue Saturday with one round of doubles and two rounds of singles.
