ELON – Elon University men's tennis senior
Veljko Krstic will be the CAA's singles representative at the ITA Conference Masters, with Krstic joining sophomore
Nikola Parichkov as the CAA's doubles pairing in the event.
The ITA Conference Masters will be held at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, California, from Nov. 6-9 and will feature representatives from each Division I tennis conference. It serves as a qualifier for the NCAA Individual Championships, which will be contested from Nov. 18-23. The four singles semifinalists and top three doubles teams will qualify for NCAAs.
Each conference gets one representative in both singles and doubles. The CAA selected its representatives through a vote of the conference's head coaches. Krstic and Parichkov will be the first Elon players to compete in the event, which is just in its second year.
Krstic is coming off a run to the semifinals at ITA Carolina Regionals earlier this month. The senior leads the Phoenix with eight singles victories this fall after earning First Team All-CAA honors in singles in the spring.
Parichkov and Krstic have teamed up for five doubles matches this season, winning three of them. They won a main draw match together at ITA Carolina Regionals.
