ELON – The Elon men's and women's cross country teams will trek to Earlysville, Virginia, to compete in the 2025 NCAA Southeast Regional Championships on Friday morning. The women's 6K race will start at 10 a.m. ET and the men's 10K race will get underway at 11 a.m. ET, with both events taking place at Panorama Farms.
The top two teams in the regional as well the first four individual finishers who do not belong to an automatic qualifier or an at-large team will advance to the NCAA Championships. Elon's women – the 2025 Coastal Athletic Association champions – are ranked 12th in the Southeast Region by USTFCCCA heading into Friday.

WHAT TO KNOW – ELON WOMEN
- The Elon women continued their run of dominance in the CAA two weeks ago, claiming their sixth conference title in the past seven years behind a standout performance from individual champion Katie Blount at Ocean County Park in Lakewood, New Jersey.
- A program-record seven Phoenix finished among the top 15 individually to earn All-CAA honors at the CAA Championships.
- Blount, who clocked 19:55.0 to become Elon's fifth women's cross country individual conference champion, will look to become just the second Phoenix to qualify for the NCAA Championships. Maria Ahm stands as the lone Elon runner to qualify in 2020.
- Elon took 12th at the 2024 Southeast Regional and was led by Hannah Weber in 39th place at 21:32.9.
- The Phoenix has already exceled once at Panorama Farms this fall, placing third in a competitive field at the Panorama Farms Invitational on Oct. 17. Blount (20:10.1) and Abby Beville (20:33.6) took fourth and eighth, respectively.
WHAT TO KNOW – ELON MEN
- The Phoenix men are coming off a seventh-place effort at the CAA Championships and will look to cap the 2025 campaign in strong fashion in Virginia. Seven individuals set personal records in the CAA Championship 8K, led by senior Nate Mars clocking a 25:02.4 as the team's top finisher in 35th.
- Evan Taylor (32:21.0, 97th), Jack Kane (33:06.9, 144th), Caden Strickland (33:08.7, 145th) and Mars (33:24.0, 158th) were Elon's top four finishers at the 2024 NCAA Southeast Regional, leading the Phoenix to 24th place overall.
