Box Score WINSTON-SALEM – Sophomores Nikola Parichkov and Charles Pilet teamed up to win the B2 doubles flight Sunday as the Elon University men's tennis team concluded its weekend at the Wake Forest Invite.

The pairing defeated Georgia Southern's team of Evan Rigsby and Davis Taylor in the final, 6-2. Parichkov and Pilet won three matches over the weekend to win the flight, dropping just seven games throughout the tournament.

This was the first tournament this fall Parichikov and Pilet played together. Parichkov is up to nine doubles wins this fall to lead the Phoenix, doing so with three different partners.

In singles, Parichkov picked up his third victory of the weekend, defeating James Madison's Aurelien Schmitt in a match tiebreak, 3-6, 6-0, 10-7. Rafael Ymer also delivered a three-set victory against Charlotte's Ivan Dreycopp, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4.

In total, Elon collected 13 wins over the weekend.

Parichkov and Veljko Krstic will represent the CAA at ITA Conference Masters in San Diego, California, on Sept. 6-9. The two will team up in doubles with Krstic also playing singles.
