ELON – Elon men's tennis senior Veljko Krstic has entered the ITA singles rankings, checking in at No. 91 in the final fall edition Tuesday.
Krstic capped off a strong fall season earlier this month as the CAA's singles representative at ITA Conference Masters, where he won a pair of matches to advance to the quarterfinals. He faced Columbia's Michael Zheng, who won the NCAA singles championship for a second straight year over the weekend, in his quarterfinal match, pushing him to a first-set tiebreak.
Krstic also made a historic run at ITA Carolina Regionals in October, advancing to the semifinals after picking up four victories against opponents from South Carolina, North Carolina, Clemson and Charlotte. He was the first Elon player to make the final four at ITA Regionals since Cameron Silverman in 2013.
Overall, Krstic went 10-4 in singles during the fall to pace the Phoenix in victories. This is Krstic's first time earning an ITA ranking and the first time an Elon player has been ranked in singles since Kyle Frankel checked in at No. 125 on March 30, 2021.
Krstic is the only CAA player in this edition of the singles rankings. The next ranking will come out on Jan. 5, 2026, prior to the start of the spring season.
