Elon, N.C. - For the first time in his collegiate career, Elon University's Rafael Ymer has been named the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Men's Tennis Player of the Week. The freshman standout earned the honor after a dominant week on the court, helping the Phoenix secure key victories against Coastal Carolina and Campbell. 

Ymer's stellar performances included a crucial singles win against Coastal Carolina's Christopher Norlin where Ymer went 2-6, 6-3, and 6-2, showcasing his resilience and skill under pressure. His contributions in singles play also played a vital role in Elon's recent success against Campbell, defeating Luke Tollenaar 6-7 (2-7), 7-5, and 6-2

With this recognition, Ymer continues to solidify his impact on the program, proving to be a key asset for the Phoenix as they push through the season. He and the team will look to build on this momentum in their upcoming match against Gardner-Webb on March 17 at Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.
