Richmond, Va. – Elon University men's tennis senior Juan Sengariz has been named the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Week following a pair of wins for the team.
 
Sengariz was unbeaten on the week, playing at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles. He beat Gardner-Webb's Boyd Schreiber 6-2, 6-1 as Elon defeated the No. 70 Runnin' Bulldogs 5-2. He followed that up by cruising to a 6-3, 6-2 win over UNC Asheville's Griffin Lovern in another 5-2 Elon victory. Sengariz also teamed with Charles Pilet at No. 3 doubles for convincing 6-2 and 6-1 wins in doubles.
 
After an 0-4 start to the season, Elon has rebounded with five wins in the last seven matches to get to 5-6 under first year Head Coach Maciek Sykut. Elon hosts Liberty Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.
