Elon, N.C. – Elon University junior Veljko Krstic has been named the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Men's Tennis Co-Player of the Week after a dominant showing in the Phoenix's recent victories over Liberty and William & Mary.

Competing at the No. 1 singles position, Krstic delivered a flawless 2-0 record on the week. He opened with a strong 6-3, 6-4 win over Liberty's Carl Roothman before following up with an impressive 6-3, 6-2 victory against William & Mary's Gur Trakhtenberg. His performance played a crucial role in Elon's 6-1 triumph over Liberty and a hard-fought 5-2 win over conference opponent William & Mary, where the Phoenix battled back in singles after dropping the doubles point.

With his recent success, Krstic has now won three consecutive matches, improving his singles record to an even 6-6 on the season. His consistent play at the top of the lineup continues to be a key asset for the Phoenix as they progress through their regular season schedule.

Krstic and the team will look to build on their momentum in their upcoming match against Presbyterian on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
