The Elon, N.C. - The Elon University men's tennis team celebrated Senior Day in style with a 4-0 victory over Norfolk State on Sunday afternoon at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center. The Phoenix honored senior Juan Sengariz before the match and went on to extend their winning streak to six matches.

With the win, Elon improves to 9-6 on the season, while Norfolk State falls to 12-11.

The Phoenix came out strong in doubles, securing the opening point behind a pair of 6-2 wins. Oskar Antinheimo and Veljko Krstic earned the victory on court one, while Jack Curtis and Rafael Ymer won on court two for their fourth straight victory as a pair.

In singles, Antinheimo opened the scoring with a 6-0, 2-0 result at No. 3 before his opponent retired. Krstic followed with a commanding 6-0, 6-3 performance at No. 1, marking his fifth consecutive win at the top spot. Alonso Roca clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at No. 6.

Three matches went unfinished, including the one featuring Sengariz at No. 5. The senior was recognized prior to the match for his contributions to the program.
