ELON, N.C. – Five members of the Elon University men's tennis team were named to the 2024–25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, recognizing their outstanding achievements both in the classroom and on the court.
Juniors Oskar Antinheimo and Veljko Krstic, sophomores Jack Curtis and Alonso Roca, and freshman Charles Pilet were each honored for their academic excellence and athletic contributions during the 2024–25 season.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must hold at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and participate in a significant percentage of their team's matches.
Freshman Pilet, who hails from Bordeaux, France, made an immediate impact in his first year with the Phoenix. With a cumulative GPA of 3.644, the undeclared finance major quickly established himself as a standout student-athlete.
Sophomores Curtis and Roca also made their mark academically and athletically. Curtis, an applied mathematics major, posted the second-highest GPA on the team at 3.756, while also recording a strong 10–5 record in singles play. Roca, majoring in entrepreneurship, earned a 3.569 cumulative GPA, ranking among the team's top academic performers.
Junior Krstic, a finance and business analytics major, secured his spot on the Academic All-District Team with a GPA of 3.619. On the court, Krstic notched a 10–6 singles record and paired with Antinheimo at the No. 1 doubles position for a 7–8 mark.
Leading the team academically was junior Antinheimo. The accounting and finance double major earned the highest GPA on the squad with a 3.957 cumulative GPA. Antinheimo also compiled a 6–8 singles record and teamed with Krstic in doubles action throughout the season.
